Get d'Clu

Get a clue & wake up! The best way to lead a nation astray of its values is to keep it ignorant of its history.

V – After the Revolution

The 2006 film V for Vendetta was problematical from the onset since it could have been considered an attack on the Bush administration, or almost any previous one that had the military power to make some hard decisions.  Yet the lesson revolutionaries are want to neglect is that their revolutions n’ere build, they only tear down and destroy and often leave in their wake a vacuum that, left unfilled, will infiltrate with the stench of further tyranny* in the guise of progressive social justice…

Revolutions are simply solutions for the moment. V takes great pains to point out the faults of the current system, but except for dismantling it, never offers anything in its place.

Revolutions are simply solutions for the moment. V takes great pains to point out the faults of the current system, but except for dismantling it, never offers anything in its place.

As Eric Rauch says, “Talking about returning to the Constitution is one thing, having a complete plan for doing it is another.”  There must be something tangible to take the place of the previous system.

  • Who has written a white paper on how to downgrade the power and check-writing authority of Congress?  What are the economic ramifications of ending Social Security, Medicare and the like to our population?  Can they be sloped downward over time?
  • Who can tell me how (s)he will reduce the President’s power back to where it was before Woodrow Wilson as the leader of the Executive branch?¹  This is a little known fact in today’s understanding of governmental hierarchy.
  • Who has vetted a list of non-political-office-holders who are conservative and who will contract to abide by certain restrictions?
  • How do we get these people into office?

The 9/12 Project, Tea Party Patriots, American Vision, American Liberty Alliance, Wallbuilders, Eagle Forum, Concerned Women for America, groups et al, are helping to ring the bell that is waking up Americans to the truth of the tyranny around us.  “Revolutions are simply solutions for the moment. V takes great pains to point out the faults of the current system, but except for dismantling it, never offers anything in its place” (Rauch).  We must again learn the values on which our nation was established and return to the foundation of our institutions — the Bible (see principles in Deuteronomy 28; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1:1-3 for keeping God’s precepts as the foundation).  These principles of wallbuilding (a la Nehemiah) are fundamental to culture building!

The stated ideal of the revolutionary is always “freedom,” but true freedom is paradoxically only possible by becoming a slave first. “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:22-23). History is replete with examples of rejecting this divine revelation and each one inevitably leads to some sort of a “reign of terror.” In like form, V must resort to terrorism in order to become a “messiah.” Once the dust settles however, London will find itself just as enslaved to sin as it was before. Liberals, terrorists, and revolutionaries all want a Christian society without Christianity. But try as they might, they cannot escape the fact that men must be governed, as Robert Winthrop stated, “either by the Bible or by the bayonet.”

* Matthew 12:45

¹Under the Founders’ representational system of government, the president was merely the leader of one of the three branches.  Wilson changed that and called upon the president to “rise above the separation of powers… as the popular leader of the whole of national politics.” In this way he believed the original separation of powers system could be circumvented and this new presidency a means to open up a national government the Progressive agenda required.  From Wilson’s book, Constitutional Government. And by R.J. Pestritto, Reframing America; the Progreeive Mission; referenced in “Fusion Magazine,” vol 5 is 2 July/August 2009, pgs. 4-5.

  1. Revolution is found on the edge of a sword, and in the barrel of a gun. Who is it that holds the weapons?

    • One would hope that it would be the lovers of Liberty who hold life and Freedom dear, and who wish to create a stronger Union based on the founding principles.
