About Me

Born on Long Island, New York and graduated from the University of California at San Diego, I am most happy for the last 12 years in the Midwest with DH Brian and my two boys.  I am descended from Thomas Hopkins Gallaudet (great-grand-dad x3) and sign, and can trace the Sherman line {of San Francisco} back to the 1500’s through an Italian boy who was shanghaied!

Having gained a vocationally useful degree from UCSD in Judaic Studies (ahem, yeah)… I use this excellent training today in Bible studies, church and forum discussions.  It absolutely thrills me to the bottom of my socks and opened up a new world of history, poli sci, ancient texts & cultures, intricacies of meaning — fascinating and mind-widening.   Although I am rusty, reading the OT in Hebrew compared to English is like seeing in Technicolor compared to black and white!  The nuances are that variegated.

So love of country and of history run strong in my veins.  I doubt I could change these proddings if I wanted to.  I was looking for an outlet for my passion and patriotism in the face of assaults on our American and Judeo-Christian values, our way of life in America today.  With each passing day, I saw the America we knew changing into something we didn’t recognize and I didn’t want progeny blaming me for letting that happen.

I Believe…
I’m fascinated with how prophecy is unfolding before us and concerned for those who care nothing but for themselves.  Politics is linked to what has been prophesied in the Bible.  I believe the Bible is the authoritative word of God from the very first verse.  As such, if the Birth, Life and Resurrection of Jesus the Christ are true, so then are the Creation, Garden of Eden, the Fall of Man, sin, the Flood, dispersion at the Tower of Babel, and all the other historical “stories” listed in Genesis 1-11.  Otherwise, if there were death and disease millions of years before man, sin could not have been a consequence of man’s disobedience to God; therefore there would be no use for a Savior and Jesus would have died for naught.  That is what the current secularist-humanist culture in America wants you to believe, and you better believe it, else be prepared to become an outcast from your field of study (as seen in numerous examples in Ben Stein’s movie, “Expelled“), or denied peer review.  Be prepared to be labeled an “extremist” or a “right wing nut job”, a “tea bagger”, or as our President has said, “Bible-toting, gun-holding, know-nothing hayseed.”  I’m a “classical liberal” and am guided by the governing principles of the primacy of individual sovereignty, the sanctity of private property, and preservation of the rule of law.

This will be a blog about what’s happening to America and perhaps why.  I’ll post cogent articles from conservative authors and list links I feel  are worthwhile, even if they are not conservative.  All the information on this superhighway is worthless unless you actually do something with it.  So my advice is to open your eyes to see what’s happening around you outside of your little world, learn as much as you can, figure out how to sustain your loved ones and do the patriotic thing.  If WE challenge our elected officials to vote responsibly and patriotically — that is, in the best interest of THE PEOPLE, then WE the People will regain the Republic that once stood high and proud.  But should we shirk this responsibility and ignore our duty unlike previous generations, we’ll find ourselves living a penury existence, entirely subject to government largesse.  Remember: The best way to lead a nation astray of its values is to keep it ignorant of its history (ld).

  1. Fellow “Texan Patriots –

    Many of you have asked if we could coordinate busses to go to the Nullification Rally in Austin on Saturday, January 16th – so we did.

    Please note: Everyone is welcome on these busses. All groups, individuals, anyone who believes in the cause of freedom- if riding the bus makes it easier for you- then come on! This is history in the making. You do not want to miss this.

    If you are interested in bussing it with us, email us at pbr@jeffreysdiscovery.org . The tickets come out to $30 per person.

    Bus Schedule: We’ll meet at 10 a.m. so that we can leave at 11 a.m. It takes 30 minutes to load up. There will be no stops along the way.
    Please bring a sack lunch with you and snacks to be eaten on the bus.
    We will arrive at the steps at around 1:30 p.m.

    The rally will last from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. We’ll load up at 4 p.m. and leave at 4:30 p.m. We should be arriving in Dallas about 6 p.m. The company we’re contracting through is a Stage Coach Company.
    We are coordinating only in the greater Dallas/Collin/Rockwall County, North Texas area. Right now we have plans to station busses in the Central and Northwest areas. We can add locations if demand warrants.

    If you are interested, please email Patricia at @ pbr@jeffreysdiscovery.org ; It takes 50 people to fill a bus. So, we’ll begin by taking names and as we fill up a bus then we’ll settle up on tickets. Right now we just need to determine how many people will be interested in riding. We need to know no later than Friday, January 8th!

  2. Thanks for the wonderful words you left on my site as you commented. They inspire me to keep putting my thoughts down through this keyboard. I can certainly say that GOD has blessed you with a wonderful gift. Your postings are unique and very informative. The GOOD LORD picks nothing but the best for his team and I am happy to be on that team with you. I personally just started blogging a few weeks ago. It is sad to see how uninformed our voting public is, especially my Hispanic brothers and sisters. It is people like you who keep me going. I know that someone is reading out there. I would like to add you to my Blog and continue following. I really enjoyed your writings. It takes practice and I will persevere. I just need a little exposure out there and the encouragement that I get from readers like yourself. Thanks and have a Happy Thanksgiving alongside Your Loved Ones.

    • Thank you so much for your kind comments, Joey. That more Americans would stand up for liberty and turkey legs – ha! I began the Get d’Clu blog July 1, 2009, so it’s new, too. But with mutual support and prayer, we’ve got great potential! May the Lord continue to keep us safe while we do His will, and may His return be soon. Keep the faith, dear brother!

  4. Great site, glad you stopped by.I don’t know what your doing for links, but if your interested let me know. I’m not sure which site you ended up on, we have the .com and the .org site which we are just getting going.the .com is doing about 100,000 a month so it should get you some traffic, you have a lot to say so I would be more than glad to help. thanks……………..
