Rules for Conservative Radicals

I found this wonderful list by Michael Leahy, co-founder of the TCOT (Top Conservatives on Twitter) and Publisher and Managing Editor of The TCOT Report.  Knowing as we all just love Alinsky’s Rules so much as the playbook of the liberal left, his list for the rightie rights is apropos.  Take a look and commit it to memory (then swallow the page).

Rules for Conservative Radicals

I offer these 15 Tactical Rules for Conservative Radicals , which I recommend for consideration by all Conservative Radicals, in addition to 9 of Saul Alinsky’s Tactical Rules that are as relevant for today’s Conservative Radicals as they are for today’s Left Wing Radicals.

The Conservative Radical’s Tactical Rules

1. It is better to be 85% right and quick than 100% right and slow.

2. Do what you can right now with the technologies, resources, and time immediately available to you.

3. Use free and cheap technologies at every opportunity

4. Observe Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment – do not engage in personal attacks of fellow conservatives in public forums. Anything you say will be ammunition for the left. Personal disputes among fellow conservatives are best handled privately.

5. When communicating through any public forum on the internet–Twitter, blogs, websites – remember that anything digital lives forever, so refrain from the use of profanity, personal attacks, or statements that are factually unsupportable.

6. Publicly engage with the left only when there is a clearly identified goal that has a reasonable likelihood of being accomplished through the engagement.

7. Privately engage with the left when you are confident you are dealing with a person of honor and good will whose personal integrity has not been compromised by Saul Alinsky’s moral nihilism.

8. When engaging with the left let no falsehood go unchallenged.

9. When dealing with the left, look for opportunities to persuade open-minded opponents of the merits of conservatism.

10. When evangelizing to open minded members of the left, be a friendly teacher guiding your students towards conservatism, not an argumentative and arrogant haranguer bent on demonstrating your intellectual superiority.

11. Seek out opportunities to collaborate with like-minded conservatives through self organizing projects.

12. You earn a seat at the table of a self organizing project by showing up, doing the work, and collaborating effectively with your project colleagues.

13. Successful self-organizing projects are characterized by:

(a) rapid response consensus development of goals and tactics
(b) transparent real time communication between project colleagues
(c) rapid implementation of tactics by a core group of the most engaged project colleagues
(d) whose personal conduct is guided by the principles of project servant-leadership.

14. Once you have earned a seat at the table, you have a right to participate in the development of a consensus. But if you don’t show up to participate, you lose the right to complain about decisions made by the group in your absence. The process drives forward relentlessly on a 24-7 time clock

15. When conflict arises within your self organized project, and the conflict is not resolvable, leave the project, start your own new project with those who are of like mind, and wish your former project colleagues Godspeed.

9 Tactical Rules from Saul Alinsky that are as relevant for today’s
Conservative Radicals as they are for today’s Left Wing Radicals

1. Never go outside the experience of your project colleagues

2. Wherever possible, go outside the experience of the opposition

3. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.

4. A good tactic is one that your project colleagues enjoy.

5. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag

6. Keep the pressure on

7. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.

8. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

9. Make the opposition live up to their own book of rules.  [Corresponds to SA’s Rule #4.]

Note: I have changed the word “people” in rules 1 and 4 to the words “project colleagues”, and the word “enemy” in rules 2 and 9 to “opposition”.

Rules for Radicals

The 13 Main Alinsky Tactics

  1. Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
  2. Never go outside the experience of your people.
  3. Whenever possible go outside the experience of the enemy.
  4. Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.
  5. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
  6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.
  7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
  8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics, and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.
  9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
  10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.
  11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside.
  12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
  13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

Lies O’Plenty -or- He Belies Truth; ACORN’s NUTS

There was one high note during the President’s speech to the joint session of Congress: Rep. Wilson’s shoutout, “You Lie!”

Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) said what over half the country has been thinking.  The President DID lie.  Since the Dems have voted down amendments requiring verification of citizenship, the bill WILL cover illegals.  Yes, Congressman Wilson was right to apologize for the uncivility of his remark, but NOT for telling the truth!  I applaud the gentleman from South Carolina because he was heard and his comment was recorded into the record.  I’m glad he was honorable to apologize to Obama and that the President reciprocated.  But is should have ended there.  He didn’t insult the Congress and they should learn to keep their traps closed at the RIGHT times for a change.

I wanted to hear four words from Mr. Obama: America, I hear you.  He, of course, went in the other direction.  This speech was no different than the 26 previous ones.  Our president doesn’t hear us. Let’s get louder!

http://spectator.org/archives/2009/09/10/time-to-get-out-the-iron

The President has NOT welcomed conservatives to the table.  There has been little – if any – bipartisan input into the health care bill.   Conservatives have some pretty good, low-or-no cost measures on the table – HSA expansion, tort reform, dropping state lines – and we KEEP being accused of not bringing anything to the table when we’re not being offered a spot.  The President has NOT met with the Republicans on this issue. We are NOT being listened to.  He does NOT practice what he preaches.  Yes, there is some idiotic language coming out from the right that are essentially “slippery slope” arguments – which could basically be cured with specific language in the bill that keeps being voted down (paying for abortions, illegal immigration, etc…).  Why the Dems keep saying it’s not in the bill when it’s right there in BLACK AND WHITE…

The GOP has been frozen out of the House debate from day one. In the Senate, the 3 GOP Senators that make up the gang of 6 were given a false choice of the Public Option or Co-opts (i.e. a public Option), or a trigger to a Public Option.  That’s it.  Nothing, Nada.  Pro Life lawmakers were either lied to, or told to get lost.  To those who disagreed, Pelosi labeled them Nazis; the President called them liars, and Reid called them UnAmerican.  So much for your “civil discourse”.  Don’t these political self-appointed-nobility realize that THEY WORK FOR US?!!!

Words bandied about the blogospherefantasy, pipe dream, economic oxymoron, pathological liar, arrogant and condescending, profaned the office, sociopath, moral bankruptcy behind glittering words, demagoguery, glossed-over rhetoric, wealth-transfer program, vituperation, disingenuousness, charlatan.

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=33486   Slick Barry
BO’s door has been closed tightly against the many common-sense plans authored by Representatives Tom Price (R-Ga.) and Louie Gohmert, by Senators Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) and Richard Burr (R-N.C.).  Neither Nancy Pelosi nor Harry Reid will allow those plans a full and open debate.  Which is just the way Obama wants it.

Thomas Sowell described the speech as “both a masterpiece of rhetoric and a shameless fraud.”

By not expressly rescinding the unfunded mandates forced upon the states, Barry gets to state that Obamacare doesn’t cover illegals while knowing full well that the states will still be forced to.

Demmy regurgitators have made comments on the blogs about various ‘ought-to-know’ orgs:

Factcheck.org???  You’ve got to be kidding me.  They are part of the Annenberg Foundation.  You know, the same foundation that Obama was a board member of with the domestic terrorist known as William Ayers.  The same factcheck.org that posted a bogus Obama COLB and called it a birth certificate.

Stealing Democracy - Matthew Vadum

Here is only SOME of the sewage (yes, that’s crap) about ACORN, a group intimately tied to Obama:

ACORN is a huge multi-million dollar international conglomerate that is devoted to undermining democracy and the capitalist system itself.

The rank subterfuge that is essential to the core agenda of Obama is to read Matthew Vadum’s article in Townhall.com: http://townhall.com/columnists/MatthewVadum/2009/09/10/acorn_exposed_stealing_democracy

“The vast ACORN empire includes ACORN Institute Inc. (leadership training for activists), W*A*R*N (Wal-Mart Alliance for Reform Now, which supports organizing unions in Wal-Mart stores), ACORN Housing Corp. Inc. (arranges mortgages), Living Wage Resource Center (tracks efforts by cities and states to raise the minimum wage above the federal standard), two “social justice” radio stations in Arkansas and Texas, Project Vote (voter registration and mobilization), Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Locals 100 (Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas) and 880 (Illinois, Indiana), Site Fighters (fighting “big box” chains such as Wal-Mart and Target), and American Institute for Social Justice (publishes Social Policy magazine with ACORN Institute Inc. and the Organizers’ Forum). It also operates a handful of “social justice” high schools in New York and California.”

[…]

“Liberals also seem blissfully ignorant of the fact that ACORN was founded not to teach self-reliance but to encourage poor people to get on welfare. By overloading the system, the strategy held, radical change would come to America.”

The roots of this shady/wacko conglomerate go back to the early 1960’s and Tom Hayden, who asserted “[t]he allocation of resources must be based on social needs” and “and so-called participatory democracy.”

“[O]n the far Left, the word democracy has a very different meaning than most Americans assign to it. To many of these radicals, democracy is a code word for socialism. To this end, some leftists have tried to rebrand socialism as economic democracy. Before the Age of Obama, socialist Princeton professor Cornel West, an ACORN ally and advisor on Obama’s campaign team, wrote “Democracy Matters: Winning the Fight Against Imperialism,” which holds that the U.S. is under the control of racist, patriarchal, authoritarian fundamentalists.”

Here is more history that illuminates Obama’s radical associations.

“When West visited Venezuela in 2006, he praised its government, which has nationalized industries, jailed and murdered its opponents and threatened the United States. West said he visited Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela “to see the democratic awakening taking place.” By “democratic awakening,” West meant the transmogrification of Venezuela into a socialist state. In other words, if radical leftists don’t end up with the political result they want, it can’t possibly be real democracy. West has also, incidentally, been a longtime supporter of the ACORN-affiliated radical New Party.

“To further its war on “the system,” Hayden and his allies created an organization called Students for a Democratic Society (SDS). Although SDS became perhaps the preeminent group of the New Left movement, it failed to achieve its goals and splintered into factions.

“One bloc eventually became the violent Weather Underground Organization. The Weathermen embraced terror as a tool of socioeconomic and political change and became especially enamored of explosives. After getting off criminal charges on a legal technicality, two of the group’s leaders, would-be mass murderers William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, decided to poison the minds of the young by turning them against the American system. The unrepentant totalitarian leftists became members of the faculties of, respectively, University of Illinois at Chicago and Northwestern University School of Law. Ayers, who while on the board of the Woods Fund of Chicago helped steer grants to ACORN, now teaches students how to indoctrinate their future pupils. Dohrn, his wife, teaches students how to use the law to achieve the left-wing abstraction known as social justice.

“But not all SDS members embraced violence. Among those who rejected terror as an instrument of political persuasion was ACORN founder Wade Rathke, who was an SDS draft resistance organizer. Rathke also organized for the National Welfare Rights Organization (NWRO), an organization whose members physically occupied welfare offices, intimidating social workers and demanding every government welfare dollar that they thought the law entitled them to.”

Marxist sociologists Frances Fox Piven and Richard A. Cloward “developed a model of political and economic subversion that called upon activists to pack the welfare rolls to spread dependency, bankrupt the government and cause uprisings against the capitalist system. They outlined plans for a welfare rights movement in a 1966 Nation article titled ‘The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty.’”  This crisis strategy proved so effective to recruit the poor onto the welfare rols that “[f]rom 1965 to 1974, the number of single-parent households on welfare soared from 4.3 million to 10.8 million, despite mostly flush economic times [according to Sol Stern].”

Rathke (1970) developed ACORN’s strategy to carry out the agenda of welfare entitlement, making “ACORN’s focus on registering those dependent on government programs is constituency-building that is consistent with the Cloward-Piven Strategy. Its voter registration drives in Louisiana, for example, have focused on registering people at government offices that deal with welfare, unemployment benefits and food stamps.”

Vadum goes on to show how closely the Weather Underground and Acorn are related:

“siblings who took different paths to radical change—one through violence and terror, the other through protest and politics—both drew inspiration from Chicago activist Saul Alinsky… (Alinsky) praised Lucifer as the ‘first radical’ who ‘rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom.’

“Alinsky said his book was ‘a step toward a science of revolution.’ He acknowledged, ‘The Prince’ was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. ‘Rules for Radicals’ is written for the Have-nots on how to take it away.

“Alinsky believed that in political combat almost anything goes: ‘In war the end justifies almost any means.’ He wrote, ‘The practical revolutionary will understand … [that] in action, one does not always enjoy the luxury of a decision that is consistent both with one’s individual conscience and the good of mankind.’”

Vadum’s article continues with Hillary Clinton and others associated with this socialist agenda.  It is absolutely abhorrent that these people are now our ruling class in this country and they pervade our government.  Read the rest of Matthew’s article.  Let’s figure out how to get rid of this scourge and all the yes-men connected.

This investigation was conducted by a couple kids with cajones bigger than Rudy Giuliani’s when he went after the mob in NYC!

Where is 20/20?

Where is 60 minutes?

Where is CNN?

We all know the answer to this question, they’re busy working for dear leader…

Let me explain something to the President.

Your misunderstanding of the terms and conditions of the Constitution, and the relationship of the three branches of government are OBVIOUS, EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE that you were ‘educated’ and graduated from Harvard by virtue of the QUOTA SYSTEM.

THE CONGRESS WRITES THE LAWS.
THE CONGRESS WRITES THE CHECKS!
THE CONGRESS DECLARES WAR!

NOBODY, in their right mind, has to “bring you” any ideas or proposals for “your approval” like a big daddy.

Obama, you have a misinformed, inflated opinion of yourself as EVIDENCED by the following remark, “If you come to me with a serious set of proposals, I will be there to listen….”

Barry, or Barak or WHATEVER your REAL NAME is, you ARE NOT “big daddy”

CITIZENS and members of congress do NOT need your approval, you need CITIZEN and congressional approval.

Barry, or Barak or WHATEVER your REAL NAME is,
you work for us.

To the Congress:
The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775 – you have had 234 years to get it right; it is broke.
Social Security was established in 1935 – you have had 74 years to get it right; it is broke.
Fannie Mae was established in 1938 – you have had 71 years to get it right; it is broke.
The “War on Poverty” started in 1964 – you have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to “the poor”; it hasn’t worked and our entire country is broke.
Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965 – you’ve had 44 years to get it right; they are broke.
Freddie Mac was established in 1970 – you have had 39 years to get it right; it is broke.
Trillions of dollars were spent in the massive political payoffs called TARP, the “Stimulus”, the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009… none show any signs of working, although ACORN appears to have found a new source: the American taxpayer.
And finally, to set a new record:
“Cash for Clunkers” was established in 2009 and went broke in 2009! It took cars (that were the best some people could afford) and replaced them with high-priced and less-affordable cars, mostly Japanese. A good percentage of the profits went out of the country. And the American taxpayers take the hit for Congress’ generosity in burning three billion more of our dollars on failed experiments.
So with a perfect 100% failure rate and a record that proves that “services” you shove down our throats are failing faster and faster, you want Americans to believe you can be trusted with a government-run health care system?

20% of our entire economy?
With all due respect,
Are you crazy?

Alternative Plan:

  1. Tort reform – bring down medical malpractice costs – frivolous lawsuits, loser pays, limits on mental anguish.
  2. Abolish the “state line” mandate – allow purchase of policies from anywhere within country.
  3. Allow the consumer to “cherry pick” coverage – cafeteria plan for the options they want for their family.
  4. Take administration burden off the employer – eliminates anchoring coverage to the job.
  5. Health savings accounts (FSAs) – own dollars, pre-tax, no limits, rolled over, all medical expenses.

If these solutions were applied, there would be significant savings in health care costs.  But it’s not about savings, is it?  No, it’s about government control over every aspect of our lives.  They are not content to G.M., AIG, Fannie and Freddie, many banks, etc.  There is 1/6 of our nation’s economy out there up for grabs.    www.myteamusa.org

Liberty Stance – No Compromise

One of my favorite author/bloggers is David Limbaugh.  In this article he paints a true, if not pretty, and accurate picture of what is happening now that the Dems realize they can no longer go around in daylight hijacking the country.  Here come the more shady tactics.  Take a look.

No Compromise, No Retreat, No Surrender

The key to stopping Obama’s far-left agenda is to understand where his heart is. If politicians let their guard down and compromise, the Obama steamroller will regain its momentum and forge ahead to gobble up our individual liberties.

Obama’s heart is and always has been on the farthest reaches of the left wing of politics. His driving ambition is to force fundamental change on America. That should go without saying, but it must be repeated — and repeated — lest people’s forgiving spirits and short memories generate just enough complacency to allow Obama to get back on track.

It is remarkable that Obama has lost public favor so quickly. But the other side of that coin is that he is receiving a wake-up call early enough in his first term to allow him to recover well in time for the crucial 2010 elections.

Some erroneously believe that Obama will continue to bash his stubborn leftist head into the wall against the wishes of the public. I don’t believe the modern myth that Obama is an erudite political philosopher, but I do think he’s savvy enough to understand that he must significantly repackage his message in order to win back popular support for his policy goals.

The major obstacle to selling Obamacare has been the public’s realization that the “public option” is a euphemism for socialized medicine. So it’s time for Obama to take his Machiavellian talents to the next level.

His likely recipe will be 1 part Alinsky, 1 part linguist George Lakoff, who urges Democrats to flavor their statist medicines with bucketsful of sugar to dupe the voters, and 1 part Clintonian triangulation.

But it won’t just involve a single deceptive euphemism, such as “public option.” It will be presented in broader thematic terms — as in, he is trying to expand competition and patient choice. He has experience in such chicanery. For example, he used his chairmanship of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge to divert $100 million to left-wing activists for their radical causes in the name of education reform, as reported by The Washington Times.

The White House has already sent out the memo that it has abandoned the public option, pretending that it was never wedded to it to begin with and that it was just a way to increase competition. David Axelrod says the “spirit” of the public option has always been about competition and choice. An anonymous aide said: “We have been saying all along that the most important part of this debate is not the public option, but rather ensuring choice and competition. There are lots of different ways to get there.”

But it is most emphatically not about expanding competition and never has been. It has been about decreasing choice, because the public option was designed to crowd out and eventually smother the Obama-demonized private insurance industry. The House plan was entirely about increasing government control over health care decisions, cost allocation, “worthy” beneficiaries of treatment, and coverage.

If Obama were about choice, he wouldn’t be forcing those tens of millions of Americans who can afford health insurance to purchase it. He wouldn’t be in favor of unleveling the playing field with a government-run option, and he would support true market solutions — such as real tort reform, eliminating onerous mandates on coverage, and changing tax laws that lock us into employer-provided coverage.

Obama is not only planning to accomplish socialized medicine through Alinsky-Lakoff semantic sleight of hand but also opportunistically, if only briefly, triangulating the far left in the process.

But remember that Obama is their leader. He is hard-left to the core. If he appears to be backing off from socialized care, it’s only for appearance’s sake — a temporary retreat in service to an incremental march forward.

When Obama announces that he’s backing off the public option, it’s a signal that he’s launched his end run strategy and that it’s time to ratchet up our opposition. If he were the bipartisan exemplar certain naive pseudo-conservatives would have us believe, he would not be attempting to indoctrinate schoolchildren in support of Obamacare, nor would he be appointing one neo-Marxist after another as his czars. Nor would he have recently told compromise-seeking Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley that he wouldn’t renounce the public option, nor Sen. Tom Coburn that he wasn’t even willing to compromise 20 percent of his plan to get some Republicans to “come across the line.”

Republican politicians better not misread Obama or the public sentiment opposing his radical agenda. If they strike a compromise with him and enable the incremental unfolding of his agenda, they will inject new life into his leftist ambitions and doom the Republicans’ chance for renewal in 2010. The public sentiment is anti-Obama, not pro-Republican. It will only materialize as pro-Republican if Republicans continue to do the right thing by keeping their Beltway caps off, representing the liberty-loving American people, and opposing Obama on principle.

The Alinsky Way vs. the American Way

The Alinsky Way Vs. the American Way
By Kyle-Anne Shiver
August 11, 2009

This excellent post on American Thinker spells out the difference between the churlish, childish, everyone-do-for-me Alinsky Way vs. the American Way of doing what it takes to make it right and best for one’s family and not asking for handouts.  Ms. Shiver hits an out-of-the-park homerun and many of the comments that follow are also worth the read.

The fundamental difference between the Alinsky Way and the American Way is so darned simple that even a first-grader, who has had decent parenting, understands it.  The Alinsky Way involves asking others to do for you that which you are plainly capable of doing for yourself, but prefer not to do.  The Alinsky Way is the purely childish method employed by tantrum-throwing tyrants of all ages, and has existed in one form or another since the beginning of time.  It is egocentric, childish human nature carried into adulthood and all the way to the end of life, as long as others are too weak to just say, “NO,” or too beguiled to see through this silly, selfish ruse.

If you should ever happen to see an able-bodied grown man in a homeless shelter, supping at the table of charity, while snapping photos with a $500 techno-gadget, you have most likely spotted an Alinsky acolyte.  If you should happen to see demonstrators carrying signs, obviously made in a professional sign shop, but the men holding the signs cannot read them, then you are most likely seeing Alinsky Way useful idiots.

The American Way, as we all know, is the do-it-yourself approach to life, which has been taught from toddlerhood to adulthood by every decent, upstanding American parent for more than 200 years.  Every conscientious American citizen understands down to his gut that the most essential ingredient to serving the common good is to take care of his own self first and foremost.  When a person takes care of himself, only then will he not become an unnecessary burden to his fellow citizens.

Those in the Democratic Party, who have adopted the Alinsky Way and thrown out the American Way, have done so with less than altruistic intentions.  Keeping citizens as little children, incapable of doing for themselves, is the way to winning their votes and keeping them dependent upon the power of the state, which Democrats hope to control now and forever.

Obama: Healthcare Critics Should Shut Up

David Limbaugh’s blog today punctuates my last post of a President-down, Democrat-induced gag order vividly.  Here it is.

Obama: Healthcare Critics Should Shut Up

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 9:06 AM
By: David Limbaugh
The hubris, arrogance, and deceit of President Barack Obama and the Democratic leadership are breathtaking. In their maniacal frenzy to assume control over every aspect of our lives through socialized medicine, they are behaving like the thuggish autocrats they have proved themselves to be.

The jig is up on their designs, evidenced by the very contents of the health bill they’re promoting. As increasing public awareness has translated into increasing grass-roots opposition to the bill, the Democrats have ratcheted up their bullying tactics and deceit.

Our self-styled bipartisan president is telling his critics to shut up, while his partners in crime, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her colleagues, are calling them un-American and Nazis.

Understand this: The people who are showing up in droves with righteous anger befitting a body politic steeped in a unique liberty tradition are exercising the very type of bottom-up citizen protest and government watchdogging our Founding Fathers envisioned. They are not the artificially driven “AstroTurf” phonies the Democrats are depicting them to be. No, such activities are the province of Saul Alinsky/Obama-type “street organizers” and union thugs enlisted by the administration to discredit these legitimate protests.

It wasn’t enough for Pelosi to call us Nazis. She also co-wrote, with House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, an Op-Ed in USA Today calling us un-American and projecting her own nefarious tactics onto her opposition.

Pelosi and Hoyer accuse the protesters of engaging in “an ugly campaign . . . not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt public meetings and prevent members of Congress and constituents from conducting a civil dialogue.”

They say: “The first fact is that health insurance reform will mean more patient choice. It will allow every American who likes his or her current plan to keep it. And it will free doctors and patients to make the health decisions that make the most sense, not the most profits for insurance companies.”

How can these government propaganda ministers sleep at night? They are the ones misrepresenting the legislation and closing their meetings to genuine dissent.

In the first place, it is not “health insurance reform.” It is an effort to fundamentally transform the entire healthcare industry and how decisions are made. Their recent move to euphemize this monstrosity as “insurance reform” is part of their strategy to demonize insurance companies in their ruthless quest to shove this down our throats.

The bill would not allow Americans to keep their plans. It would crowd out and eventually eliminate private care; enormously reduce choice, as well as the quantity and quality of care; and be a fiscal nightmare, as verified by Congressional Budget Office projections. Worst of all, it would further destroy our liberties.

And by Obama’s own words, it would decrease doctors’ prerogatives over the type of care they provide. He admits he’d control doctors by making their “bundled payments” conditional on their meeting quality standards imposed by an omniscient, omnipotent government, not doctors and their patients.

Pelosi and Hoyer’s most laughable claim is that their plan “will stand up to any and all critics.”

If that’s so, why don’t they tell the truth about what’s in the bill and truly answer legitimate questions and concerns about it instead of resorting to name-calling and intimidation? If that’s so, why is Obama sending out his hired mouthpiece, Linda Douglass, to deny what Obama most clearly said? She protests that his statements promoting a single-payer system were taken out of context and then gives us absolutely no evidence they were. We are just supposed to disbelieve our lying eyes and ears.

It’s also disingenuous to argue that in any event, Obama’s earlier statements are irrelevant because he says he does not favor a single-payer system today and would protect our right to private care. Again, we have the bill itself, which would phase out private care — mandatorily — so the denials are self-evident lies.

Obama isn’t delegating all the dirty work to his surrogates. Our pseudo-cool leader himself has become conspicuously unglued. About opponents of his outlandishly reckless agenda, he said that he doesn’t “want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking;” he wants “them just to get out of the way so [Democrats] can clean up the mess.” He went on, “I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking.”

He obviously thinks that he has the unilateral right as president, with 53 percent of the vote, to use our money to impoverish and enslave us and destroy our healthcare and that we have no right even to object. We only get to speak every two years.

Well, this president — with a faux-messianic wind boomeranging in his face — has now met his match: an increasingly informed, vigilant, politically engaged and liberty-loving citizenry. And none too soon.

Gag Me

The First Amendment to the US Constitution allows the freedom of speech (and I would say with some civility), yet our elected leaders and non-representing representatives are not allowing us to question them, their policies or affiliations.  Somehow feels like a gag order to me.  Worse yet, Obama’s partners in crime, Pelosi & Hoyer, not only are calling those who attend the town halls “Nazis” (yes, did you hear that?!), but she wrote an Op-Ed piece in USA Today calling them un-American (for standing up and questioning their reps?!) and accusing them of doing what the Democrats themselves are doing — lying and strong-arming their way through the meetings, busing in union members to harrass those who might disagree with the legislation.  It all comes straight from Saul Alinsky’s socialist handbook and it’s dirty tricks as usual.

Democrats, Media Distorting Town Hall Facts
by James Hirsen
Aug 10, 2009
Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and others who express concern about the socialization of our healthcare system are getting slimed. Those who speak out at Town Hall meetings are being painted as “manufactured protesters.”
“Now we see the president, Dem Party, and Machiavellian media revving up their propaganda engines to push an unsuspecting public into believing that town hall meetings are staged, rent-a-mobs are bullying congressional members, and insurance companies are choreographing the entire scenario.”
“But the same politicians and media that are defaming citizens for daring to ask questions were sickeningly silent when members of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a.k.a. ACORN, really did fabricate protests at the homes of AIG executives who received bonuses following the government approved TARP bailouts.”
Obama’s Strong-Arm Tactics Chilling

Democratic lawmakers are smearing anyone who dares to question Obamacare as “brownshirts,” “gangsters,” or domestic terrorists like Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
