Can You Hear Me Now???

While the voting public know what the success of Virginia and New Jersey conservative wins mean, the spin from the liberals is deafening.  Adam Bitely words it well when he states, “the White House Communication Office, aka the Main Stream Media, is spinning the results as being unrelated to Obama’s agenda…” but it means a huge swing away from gluttonous federal spending and an “overreaching (liberal) power grab” not seen since the New Deal.

This Conservative Wave™ has more than just a “scant basis in reality.”  Note to all MSM: just report the facts and leave the thinking to us!

The Wave has been building a long time and was exacerbated by Obama’s few months in office.  BO’s radical changes and horrendous upset to the economy, et al., have produced not only cohesion among Conservatives, but these challenges have brought together Republicans and Independents along with traditional Conservatives to reach agreement on core values and Constitutionalism.

The voters spoke up saying the economy is important.  That they want to live under the rule of law and not under a Constitution that is a “living document” (which practically means no constitution).  These united voters want a fundamental shift away from the all-powerful socialistic, statist government and a return to local and state power with minimal federal intrusion.

These voters, especially in VA, want the Christian ethos put back into its rightful place of honor in the courtrooms and hearts of its people, as it was with the Founders.  The state cannot legislate morality.  Without a moral code, statism can only prescribe more and more laws to try and control the passions of populace.  But educating the people again with the basic tenets of the Judeo-Christian heritage would all but solve a majority of societal issues—soul issues born out of societal ills.  According to Joseph Farah, in his book “Taking America Back: A Radical Plan to Revive Freedom, Morality, and Justice“:

The choice is simple: the world of standards and morality, of marriage, order, the rule of law, and accountability to God or the world of anything goes, aberrant behavior, do-your-own-thing lifestyles, and moral codes that change with the speed of the latest public opinion polls.

So ride the Conservative Wave™ all the way to Washington D.C. today, meet with your Representatives, and stand on the Capitol lawn to sing “God Bless America” in solidarity with other peaceful warrior patriots for freedom.

First They Came for Fox News…

Apparently the new White House strategy for handling comments and news it dislikes is to call out the network and condemn it for lying

White House Communications Director Anita Dunn has been leading the charge… and while consuming conservative media, she’s become a  “fierce critic of Fox News.”

“It’s opinion journalism masquerading as news,” Dunn says. “They are boosting their audience. But that doesn’t mean we are going to sit back.” Fox News’s head of news, Michael Clemente, counters that the White House criticism unfairly conflates the network’s reporters and its pundits, like Glenn Beck, whom he likens to “the op-ed page of a newspaper.”

Claudia Rossett gets at the heart of what’s wrong when the President of the United States attacks a news outlet:

You don’t have to love Fox News to see how dangerous it is when the President of the United States gives his staff and advisers a green light to single out and denigrate by name a specific news organization. As we surely all know by now, this is what the White House has been doing to Fox.

The Sunday morning talk shows just brought us White House Senior Adviser David Axelrod opining to George Stephanopoulos, on ABC’s “This Week,” that Fox is “Really – not news — it’s pushing a point of view.” Axelrod advised that ABC and other non-Fox outlets take his cue and expunge Fox from the brethren of news services: “And the bigger thing is that other news organizations like yours ought not to treat them that way, and we’re not going to treat them that way.” Meanwhile, on CNN’s “State of the Union,” White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was hammering home the same message, that Fox “is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective,” and urging “More importantly is not have [sic] the CNNs and the others in the world basically be led in following Fox, as if what they’re trying to do is a legitimate news organization… .”

This would be a very good moment for all those other news organizations — CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, the newspapers and the news web sites – to offer President Obama the perspective that it is utterly inappropriate for White House personnel to be opining publicly on the overall fitness of specific news outlets. The president has sworn to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” That includes protecting free speech, not dispatching White House staff and advisers to hold forth publicly as media critics denouncing news outlets they don’t like.

If errors of fact turn up in reporting, the White House is entitled to dispute them. But Axelrod and Emanuel were not disputing a particular piece of reporting. They were slamming wholesale a widely followed and highly informative news outlet, and denouncing it as not “legitimate.”

The matter of deciding whether a news outlet has “a perspective” — and many do — is something that in a free country, if the country is to remain free, should be left to the private customer. There are legions of critics in the private sector who spend their time analyzing and debating which outlets provide the most reliable news, what’s entertainment, who’s opinionated, and how, and who’s not. They are easy to find. You can tune in, subscribe, and decide for yourself. These folks, like the media they criticize, are subject to the market test — in which private consumers freely make their own choices about what or whom they trust, what they pay for, what they pay attention to, and why.

Government personnel getting into this act is altogether different. These are people paid out of the public purse, and speaking under the imprimatur of public institutions — in this case the White House. Here they are, urging White House-favored news outfits to follow the White House lead, and ostracize a specific news outlet the White House doesn’t like. This is Banana Republic stuff, a stock tactic of pressure and intimidation. The effect of such stuff, as a rule, is not to promote accurate news coverage, but to cover up stories the government doesn’t want aired, and shut up critics.

Other news outlets — the CNNs, ABCs, NBCs, CBS’s, or for that matter the New York Times and the Globe-Post-Mercury-Etceteras, may not agree with opinions expressed on Fox. But they would be wise to remember that what goes around comes around. And if they don’t rally now around the idea that the White House has no business vetting, according to its own “perspective,” which news outlets are “legitimate” and which are not, then the legitimacy of all news outlets becomes a function of “point of view” held by the White House. Welcome to the road to China’s Xinhua News Agency and Russia’s Channel One TV.

This is exactly WHY it is dangerous for the Obama Administration to declare war on Fox News…  What goes around comes around, so the networks should listen and be called to action – NOW.

Update Internet Spying – WH Twits on FB

So it’s true, the White House really does have a plan to collect your personal intenent info.  Tipping my hat, yet again to Ms. Geller and the Yid at Lid, here’s the scoop.  What does the Presidential Records Act plus the “fishy” turn-in-your-friends incident equal?  A discovery by the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) that the WH is datamining social networking sites for comments that might be antagonistic to the Obama administration policies.

big brother

The White House office of New Media has sent out a request for proposals from technology vendors to develop and run the project. According to the proposal request, the information to be captured includes comments, tag lines, emails, audio, and video. The targeted sites include Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, YouTube, Flickr and others – any space where the White House “maintains a presence.” The Proposal requests a bid covers allowing this project to last eight years. MMMM what else does the Obama administration want to last eight years.

{I thought Gibbs said BO would be happy with a one-term presidency…}

[Here are] the frightening parts especially for this administration which promises to be the most transparent in history. The disturbing parts of the proposal include:

  • Extremely broad secrecy terms preventing the vendor from disclosing to the public or the media what information is being captured and archived (page 7, “Restriction Against Disclosure”)
  • wholesale capturing of comments by non-White House staff on publicly accessible sites
  • capturing of content of any type (text, graphics, audio, or video)
  • capturing of comment by both Obama critics and supporters, with no restriction as to how the White House would use the information.

Maybe its just paranoia but this revelation comes right after the “spy on your neighbor” email program, and the David Axelrod spam from the White House problem. It just seems that when a President whose campaign was so good at understanding new media, keeps trying to break every internet “privacy rights social protocol,” it can’t be that they don’t understand what they are doing.  And when they direct the vendor to keep it secret from the electorate, the objective must be more nefarious than the Presidential Records Act.

Now the same people at the White House are at it again with an ambitious plan to harvest huge amounts of information from the web and specifically social networking sites. This presidency is willing to violate our civil liberties for political purposes.

And the NLPC is a bit suspicious as well:

[This] interpretation of the Presidential Records Act is so expansive that virtually any communication mentioning the president or the Administration could become subject to collection and archiving under the Act. This is not out of an “abundance of caution,” but out of an over-abundance of power. President Obama should make sure that this plan goes no further.

Yeah, like he’s gonna do that right away.  Well, at least the BO is off and running in the same direction, and that is hell-bent toward a complete socialist takeover of the country.  It’s gonna be a bumpy ride…

In the course of investigating procurement by the White House New Media office, NLPC discovered a 51-page solicitation of bids that was filed on Friday, August 21, 2009. Filed as Solicitation # WHO-S-09-0003, it is posted [1] at Click here to download a 51-page pdf of the solicitation [2].

Open Left Exposes Obama’s “Verifiably Dishonest” Views on Single-Payer Prospects

Open Left Exposes Obama’s “Verifiably Dishonest” Views on Single-Payer Prospects
By Ellen Carmichael

According to a post by David Sirota published today on the blog “Open Left,” President Barack Obama offered conflicting statements regarding his intentions for health care reform for America.

Citing his piece appearing a few months ago on, Sirota explains that President Obama once proclaimed his support of a single-payer system of health care, where the country would shift to an entirely government-run program sponsored by tax dollars.

In that speech six years ago, Obama said the only reason single-payer proponents should tolerate delay is “because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House.”

Now, he has his wish. The White House and Congress are currently controlled by the Democratic Party, which, according to then-Senator Barack Obama, is the key to achieving his goal of socializing medicine. However, just yesterday, President Obama asserted that his attempts at health care reform were not meant to create a single-payer system, adding that he never claimed to support it in the first place.

“I have not said I am a single payer supporter.” – Barack Obama, 8/11/09

President Obama realizes that the elimination of private insurance is an immensely unpopular idea, but one could rightly assume that he was more honest about his far-Left ideologies as an Illinois state senator in 2003 than today, where the president is forced to reckon with the desires of mainstream Americans unsympathetic to his agenda. Now, he must mask his efforts to institute a single-payer system by promoting a “public option.”

A public option would, according to the White House and supporters of the legislation, create a state-sponsored insurance agency that would “compete” with the private sector to provide coverage for Americans. The public option would be funded by substantial tax hikes, and not just on those earning more than $250,000 a year (Americans for Tax Reform), making private insurance difficult, if not impossible, to afford for both individuals and their employers. Government’s sphere of influence would expand by increases in regulatory measures on insurers, ultimately crowding out the private sector and leading to a complete government overhaul of the health care industry.

Even President Obama’s biggest cheerleaders can identify when he is, according to Sirota, “lying and/or not at least explaining their broken promises.” While the blogger does support the president’s “health care efforts right now,” he claims he would not be supportive of any president who is untruthful with the American people. To make matters worse, President Obama sees no need to justify his previous or current statements regarding his aims for health care reform:

Obama has never really offered up an explanation for his about face on single payer, other than implying that it’s not politically realistic now – even though, again, back in 2003, he said it would be politically realistic when Democrats obtained the presidency and Congress.

This is what is most alarming. It appears that he considers himself beyond reproach, finding it unnecessary to acknowledge his own contradicting perspectives on an issue he seems to care about so deeply. President Obama is simply not held accountable for his statements made six short years ago, leaning instead on empty jargon and attacking his dissenters to distract from the truth of his proposals. For a man who has held four prime-time press conferences in the mere six-and-a-half months of his presidency, more than any of his predecessors in that time span, he has told Americans very little.

And unfortunately for us, what he has said is obviously contrary to what he intends.

Fishy Letter of Encouragement for Town Hall Rebels

My Fishy Letter of Encouragement for the Town Hall Rebels

Isn’t it funny that the liberals, who have historically encouraged the contrarian, are now crying foul since conservatives, libertarians and non-Obama addled Democrats have decided, en masse, to become the contrarians and shout Obama, his policies, and his step-n-fetch gofers down?

As you know by now, the Obamanoid’s town hall sale of Obamacare ain’t going that well for Dems because thinking, unbeholden people aren’t buying Barack’s crack. So, what did the White House do in light of the GP’s legitimate concerns over Barack’s proposed legislation? Did they go back and flush it down the crapper? No. Did Obama bend one of his big ears to our bigger concerns? Yeah, right.

No, the White House, in the spirit of tolerance, hope and change officially dispatched some pursed-lip chick to video warn the serfs of Obamaland that if we disagree with His Highness’ health scare bill in a “fishy” email or casual conversation then the White House wants to know about it—and we could very well be deep weeds.

What is this, Russia? Did I wake up in Venezuela? Is this an Austin Powers flick, or a joke? If it isn’t, I’m screwed; all I have been doing for the past umpteen weeks is . . . uh . . . disagreeing with B-HO on my show.

Yep, ever since the Socialist-in-Chief floated his government-bloating, freedom-strangulating 1,100 page unread health care stool I have been smacking it like Rosie would a piñata full of Twinkies; therefore, I might as well just go public with my home address since I’m probably already “flagged”: It’s 1313 Kiss-My-Skinny-Backside Blvd, in Light-a-Fart, Florida, and my email is .

Someone help me here. Aren’t the liberals the ones who spawned the likes of Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, Bruce Franklin, Jose Angel Gutierrez, Tom Hayden, Angela Davis, Ron Karenga, Jane Fonda and Orville Schell—rabble rousers extraordinaire? (Some of these dogs were violent, I might add.) Therefore, you of all people, Ms. Lefty, should understand and appreciate revolt and revolutionaries, eh? But alas, you don’t—or won’t.

What’s the matter, little liberal? Are you guys the only ones who get to play James Dean? Is that it? Can we not wear the leather jacket? Can we not ride a Harley? Can we not sing “We’re Not Gonna Take It?” Can we not be the rebel with a cause? Is our party disallowed our Rosa Parks? We are? Well, isn’t that conveeeeeeeeeeeeenient?

Liberal politicians, pundits and Obama’s Whine House are condemning outrage over dissent for Obamacare? Unbelievable. Isn’t that what one would call “the putz calling the kettle black?” How the heck do you hacks think you got into the White House in the first place? How did you arrive at that place of power where you could, possibly irrevocably, dismantle our nation? I’ll tell you how: It was by being dissident, getting vocal, organizing, going viral . . . and abracadabra, poof, you socialists won. I believe it was Obama himself who said one should sharpen one’s elbows and get in people’s faces. Yep, I’m pretty sure it was.

Well, guess what? What’s good for the commie goose is good for the conservative gander. Seeing that in a few short months you have not only failed to bring about your promised Hope and Change but have instead increased our debts and deficits, weakened our national security, turned traditional values on their head, scarfed down a big chunk of the private sector, attempted to lasso our cherished liberties, and intend to turn our health care into a DMV with stethoscopes, we officially want our &%$# nation back. And you know what? We’re not too proud to tear a page out of your playbook and move from being nice to being heard. Yep, the times they are a changin’.

Today, if you want to play the rebel (and who doesn’t?), “The Man” is Obama and “The Machine” is his socialist agenda fueled by a Chicago-based bouillabaisse of nefarious critters adept at conformity and bullying. There’s your oppressor, rebel. I think it’s cool that stacks of everyday Americans, especially the cute little old ladies (without being bused in or wearing some red T-shirt with a nut on it) are a part of this political revolt.

B-HO and his boys underestimated the intelligence and malleability of Maw and Paw Kettle to his catastrophic reform and his scare tactics; that crap might have worked in Chi-town, but it will not fly with the rest of us.

Finally, to the rebels who like limited government versus this Orwellian rat cage Obama’s trying to strap on your head, I say: Have fun with your push for true hope and change. I know these are serious times, but time and truth are on your side, yes they are.

No matter how much Pelosi and Boxer ridicule you, you must carry on. When the Whine House threatens to log your IP addresses and snatch your emails, you must plow ahead. When they show up with union goons and Acorn asses, let that encourage you because that means you’re officially under their skin, and the tide is about to turn. Finally, my well-dressed and informed dissenters, let their derision fuel your passion, and let their frowns bring you joy, as this could be our finest hour.

White House says Town Hall protests ‘Manufactured’

What’s the old song about the seasons?  They “turn, turn, turn.”  Here’s another example of Democrats not liking the truth so they want to change it, and their mantra is “spin, spin, spin.”  Rep. Llloyd Doggett, D-Texas, and the Democratic National Committee have dismissed the protests as ‘mob rule’ (DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse, per FOX article).  Just as when the govt-seduced-media either didn’t report on, or mis-reported significantly low numbers attending Tax Day Tea Parties across the nation and stated the gatherings were ‘staged’ by the RNC and ‘extremist’ groups, the White House is now claiming that the current crop of TH meetings set up over the August break are beset with fake protesters.  It’s not like the Obamaites would ever stage a fake TH themselves…  The truth hurts boys, because it sets you free and that’s called LIBERTY!

Patients Forced To Live In Agony After NHS Refuses To Pay For Painkilling Injections
Laura Donnelly – The Telegraph

The Government’s drug rationing watchdog says “therapeutic” injections of steroids, such as cortisone, which are used to reduce inflammation, should no longer be offered to patients suffering from persistent lower back pain when the cause is not known. Instead the National Institute of Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is ordering doctors to offer patients remedies like acupuncture and osteopathy.Specialists fear tens of thousands of people, mainly the elderly and frail, will be left to suffer excruciating levels of pain or pay as much as £500 each for private treatment. The NHS currently issues more than 60,000 treatments of steroid injections every year. NICE said in its guidance it wants to cut this to just 3,000 treatments a year, a move which would save the NHS £33 million. But the British Pain Society, which represents specialists in the field, has written to NICE calling for the guidelines to be withdrawn after its members warned that they would lead to many patients having to undergo unnecessary and high-risk spinal surgery. Dr Christopher Wells, a leading specialist in pain relief medicine and the founder of the NHS’ first specialist pain clinic, said it was “entirely unacceptable” that conventional treatments used by thousands of patients would be stopped.

Congress’ Own Health Care Benefits: Membership Has Its Privileges
Mark A. Barabak and Faye Fiore – Truthout
Lawmakers can choose among several plans and get special treatment at federal medical facilities. In 2008, taxpayers spent about $15 billion to insure 8.5 million federal workers and their dependents. Too much, too fast, too expensive. Those are some of the objections lawmakers have thrown up against the healthcare overhaul Democrats are attempting on Capitol Hill. But many feel Congress is out of touch. How, they wonder, can lawmakers empathize with the underinsured or those lacking insurance when they receive a benefits package — heavily subsidized by taxpayers — that most Americans can only envy? Among the advantages: a choice of 10 healthcare plans that provide access to a national network of doctors, as well as several HMOs that serve each member’s home state. By contrast, 85% of private companies offering health coverage provide their employees one type of plan. Take it or leave it. Lawmakers also get special treatment at Washington’s federal medical facilities and, for a few hundred dollars a month, access to their own pharmacy and doctors, nurses and medical technicians standing by in an office conveniently located between the House and Senate chambers.

Ten Reasons Why America’s Health Care System Is In Better Condition Than You Might Suppose.
Scott W. Atlas – Hoover Institution
Medical care in the United States is derided as miserable compared to health care systems in the rest of the developed world. Economists, government officials, insurers, and academics beat the drum for a far larger government role in health care. Much of the public assumes that their arguments are sound because the calls for change are so ubiquitous and the topic so complex. Before we turn to government as the solution, however, we should consider some unheralded facts about America’s health care system. To read the complete list follow this link.
